Here is an American Civil War ironclad which I made more than 20 years ago. Its made from scrap wood and a plastic tube for the funnel. You can see two 28mm minis with it to give you an idea of the size. There are three images here, one a fancy photoshopped image with 'water' the other a straight image and the third an image of a visit by the ladies to the ship. I am proud of this old fellah, it is homemade with no commercial products involved, much like how many of the originals were put together.

ReplyDeleteI love this model. I was looking at the .MDF ironclad models sold by Sarissa, but this looks better. How did you do the rivets on the outside of the armour plating?
