Austrian commanders .1809-15 28mm Front rank

15mm Delta Force

Here is a 15mm Little Bird and Delta bench riders. The figures are Cannon Fodder Miniatures and the Helo is QRF (from memory). This is a nice combination and very useful for games when you want to drop the D-boys into a spot on the table that is just too dangerous or inconvenient to walk to.

20mm FJ Regiment

An almost complete regiment in Rapid-Fire terms. The only thing missing is the  gun company , equipped with the Skoda mountain guns. This was painted a log time ago , mostly in the late 1990s but they have held up rather well. These have come into my possession for  disposal so I have taken time to record them. A mix of 20mm range SHQ, FAA, Wargames Foundry Dixon , Drew's Militia and some Britannia.
These figures  are most useful for games set  during  the Invasion of the Low Countries,    hypothetical Sea Lion and Malta Invasion games and of course the Greek and Crete campaigns Their sale price , which will set at quite reasonable terms will posted as link later

HOME CAST 28mm ROMANS

I have been home casting 28mm Romans using Prince August molds. Here are the first results - the first cohort finished and based for Hail Caesar. I have been very pleased with the PA figures. They are large 28mm, nicely robust and excellent for wargaming. The detail is good and they paint up well. I have used Black Tree characters such as the Centurion and Signifier as Black Tree figures are compatible in size to PA. I have painted these fellows as Legio XXX Uplia Victrix whose shields carried the Neptune's Trident with dolphins motif. I made the shield designs myself using MS Paint and Photoshop and then printing the design onto a sheet of water slide decal paper. I think that the finished result does the job very well and I will make a lot more use of this method in the future.

MEDIEVAL SWISS

Some more of my late Medieval Swiss, just finished. I will eventually have enough to make a very nice command stand for use in the Hail Caesar games.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Teacher: Why did the Romans build straight roads?
Pupil: So their soldiers didn't go around the bend!

Here are my efforts over summer.  Im still painting Gladiators, but I have begun assembling an early Imperial Army contingent just in case I play Hail Caesar one day!
They are mostly based on Warlords Box sets.  I have painted up the Roman Legionary set, the Veterans kit and the Auxiliaries box set.  Funnily, the Auxiliaries are bigger in size than the Legionaries.  They were great to paint too.  I have based all figures on 40mm x 40mm bases.  Im looking to add another couple of units, but will have to wait until they arrive in the mail!  I was using a different camera today and backgrounds, so some of the results are not quite as good as normal.

Thumbs down!

Go get them!

A bit of light entertainment. For the wolves.....

These were great figures to paint.  Old Citadel wolves!

Eureka Romans.   These brutes are 28mm Heroic scale (about the same as Reaper)
They are great figures.  I wish I had more!
