28mm Byzantines for Impetus
Hello Again,
Here are the first 2 units of my new Byzantine project. It will eventually cover the 1000-1100AD period fairly well. Figures are Crusader with an unhappy looking Gripping Beast Monk in there.
Starting off with a unit of heavy infantry and a supporting unit of bows. The heavy infantry shields have Little Big Men transfers because they are far better than I could do myself.
Cheers,
Mick

UTHRED OF BEBBANBURG II
Here is an updated version of Uthred. This one has a beard as he should - the one I posted earlier is now Einar Ragnarsson from the Viking Movie (Kirk Douglas) who shaved his face because he was so vain of his appearance. For this Uthred I used a Dark Ages style wolf as his banner and shield. Still have to work out how to put a wolf on his helmet. I will probably use green stuff or Milliput to do it.

28mm ROMAN SUPPLY CARTS
A few weeks ago I got some Roman carts from 4Ground Terrain. These are laser cut MDF models. They are excellent models and go together like a dream. I put them together and added oxen (Front Rank) and people. I used Perry Japanese civilian women and kid from their Samurai line and pilgrims from their Crusades line, both of which look suitable as ancient civilians. The baggage of amphorae and baskets come from Baudera who makes a very good range of medieval and ancient accessories in 28mm scale. All I have to do now is to work out a good way to simulate the cover for the cart that will look good. Suggestions for this are most welcome.
